What I cover
Most folks who call have three or four jobs stacked up and no time to coordinate three or four contractors. I cover all eight of these out of one truck. If a job needs a permit, I pull it. If a job needs a specialist I'm not, I'll tell you who to call.

About Hawkins Handyman
Most folks who call me are tired of juggling four numbers. The lawn guy doesn't do tree work. The tree guy doesn't pull permits. The handyman won't touch a panel. Somebody's gotta wait two weeks; somebody else doesn't return the call.
I started this work twenty years back doing whatever the day put in front of me. Carpentry first, then plumbing, then enough electrical to wire what I was framing. Lawn and tree work came in because clients kept asking — and I had the truck and the trailer to do it right. Formed the LLC in 2013 once it was clear this was the whole job, not a side thing. BBB Accredited in 2015 and I've kept that A+ ever since.
The work hasn't changed much. Show up when I said I would. Quote what the job actually costs. Don't leave a mess. Pick up the phone when it rings.
If it's on your house, your yard, or your acreage — chances are I can handle it. If I can't, I'll tell you who to call.

The work — Oxford & Lafayette County
Pricing is by the job, not by the hour padded up. I'll quote it after I see it.
Weekly or bi-weekly mow, edge, blow — plus seasonal cleanup. Crew-of-one, so the schedule actually holds.
Take-downs, crown work, stump grinding. Climbing and rope-and-saddle for tight residential lots.
Acreage prep, brush hog, fence-line clearing, light grading. Brought a trailer for the haul-off.
Deck rebuild, fence post replacement, framing repairs, interior trim — twenty years of it.
Leak repair, fixture swap, water-heater install, rough-in on remodels. Licensed under MS Board of Contractors #21208.
Panel swaps, outlet adds, ceiling fans, fixture replacement, troubleshooting a circuit that won't hold.
Everything else: door re-hang, drywall patch, gutter clean, garbage disposal, soft spot in the floor. Small jobs welcome.
Driveway, siding, deck, fence. Surface cleaner for concrete; soft-wash for older paint.
How we got here
The short version: same person, same county, three big paper milestones along the way.
Around 2005
Tim starts working the trades full-time. Carpentry first, then plumbing, then enough electrical to wire what he was framing.
By 2010
Clients kept asking. Tim had the truck and trailer to do it right, so he did. The 'one-truck, all-trades' model takes shape.
2013
It was clear this was the whole job, not a side thing. The LLC paperwork goes in on April 29.
2015
On December 4, the BBB seal goes on the door. Tim has held the A+ rating every year since.
2026
Same phone number. Same county. Eight trades, one truck, twenty years on the work.

How a call goes
(662) 473-8139. Tell me what you're dealing with. Five minutes is enough to know what I need to bring.
Walk the job, ask the questions that change the number. No charge for the visit if you're in the county.
One sheet. Line items. No 'while we're here' surprises later.
I'll give you a real date. If weather pushes it, I'll tell you the day before — not the day of.
Walk the work with you. Trailer leaves with the debris. Invoice when you're satisfied.
That’s it. No portals, no logins — a phone call or an email is all it takes.
Where I work
Most of my work lands inside Lafayette County. I'll travel into Marshall, Panola, and Yalobusha when the job calls for it — tree-take-down up in Holly Springs, acreage prep down toward Water Valley, kitchen repair out by Batesville. No charge for the walk-through if you're in the four-county circle.
Towns I cover
Farther than the four-county circle? I'll usually ask for the equipment to be earning its trip.
What folks have said
Tim's been helping us for about two years now. He's terraced an area, tilled flower beds, smoothed soil and laid sod, planted trees and shrubs, and anything else I need done. Easy person to work with.
Hawkins does a wonderful job of anything you ask. Tim is very customer-service oriented — aims to please. No job is too small.
Tim fixed several leaks for me. Great to work with — knew what he was doing the moment he walked in.
We had four other quotes for tree removal and grading. Tim's was the only one that walked the back lot before naming a number. Came back when he said.
How I price
Most small repairs land between $150 and $600. Tree removal, land clearing, and bigger plumbing or electrical jobs depend on access, debris, and how much has to come out. I'll walk it before I name a number.
No charge for the walk-through inside Lafayette County.
